I want to say thanks to all our customers.
I want our customers to know just how much I appreciate your business. I know how scary it can be to hand someone your guitar to be repaired, especially if you are a working musician, so thank you for your trust.
I don't do this job so I can make a bunch of money (just ask my wife), I do it because I love guitars! Cheap ones, expensive ones, it doesn't matter to me I love them all. And I am blessed to be able to help you to make your guitar play, sound and look better.
I promise I will always strive to give you more than you expected at the best prices around.
Thanks again,
Gregg Sprague

Customer Reviews and Comments
Nate Wendlandt - Gregg is amazing! fixed some bad scrapes on my fender mim. Also took my sg in which had headstock cracks, nobody else could fix it. Gregg made that look brand new! I will only go to Gregg (guitar medic) for repairs. I only recommend the guitar medic.
Jonathan Gay - Gregg helped me out with a Takamine acoustic/electric that had some fret issues. I wasn't sure what was wrong but he diagnosed the problem and got it fixed. Good communication, cant beat his prices, and now the guitar plays great. I highly recommend Guitar Medic!
Danny Forsythe - Greg is awesome brought him a reliced out charvel neck and body and a box of parts and he turned it into a 80's shredder plays and sounds awesome !! highly recommended
Jim Barber - I wanted to let you know the Seagull is playing better than I thought possible. I'm remembering fingerstyle patterns I'd forgotten I'd ever forgotten. ;-) Great work on the setup, thanks!
Jim Barber - I took Gregg a guitar that had been completely mangled by the dealer where I bought it new. He did a beautiful job putting on a new bone nut, getting the neck adjusted and dressing the frets. It plays great now, which is pretty amazing given the condition it was in when I took it to him. I will be taking my other guitars and basses to him for service as time and money permit.
Aaron Waggoner - I have taken two of my guitars into Gregg and I couldn’t be happier with how he runs his business. He put in a new volume pot on my 59/60 Stratocaster and he also worked on some wiring issues with my Jazzmaster. The thing that stands out about Gregg is that you can tell he truly loves what he does. I feel totally confident in leaving an instrument that I care about in his capable hands. He keeps constant communication with you while he’s working on your instrument and he doesn’t do anything without your say so. I will be using Gregg exclusively in the future. I couldn’t be happier with his care, integrity and professionalism.
Bill Long - Gregg, The AMP is AWESOME!!! it sounds like a fricken $2000 amp. Love the bass end and it just sounds so vintage. Brighter, Bigger, etc.....This is a KEEPER!!
J Priest - Greg at Guitar Medic did a re-fret on my \'05 Stratocaster. He was very open and honest about what needed to be done, and how the final bill would change if other pieces needed to be replaced (mainly the bone nut). Better yet, when I came to pick up my guitar it was set up perfectly to make adjustments from the bridge. A great touch, considering he didn\'t know what type of player I am; this gave me the perfect opportunity to experiment with action. He did offer to make the final adjustments for me on the spot. Quick, efficient, clean work and great prices. Greg is a very genuine individual, and I felt confident from the moment I handed over my guitar that he would do great work. I couldn\'t be happier. I will continue to use Greg\'s services in the future. -JP
Jos Klein - I brought in an early 80s Ventura 1007 (ES-175 style) with high action, bridge previoisly already lowered to compensate, but causing fret buzz above fret 12 and the lower string notes were choking in fret 8 - 11 range. Upon Gregg\'s inspection, turned out this guitar also has a bridge with wrong radius for the fretboard, and uneven frets that were fairly worn down over the decades. Gregg took care of all of this and returned to me a sweet-sounding, low-action Jazz box that is now a delight to play. He filed the bridge pieces to reflect the fretboard radius, he crowned & polished frets despite the minimal fret height left for an as-level-as-possible experience. In time this guitar will need a refret, but for now his experience, patience and attention to detail has pushed that job out well into the future. Rest assured when the time comes, Gregg will be medic to see to this...as well any work that my other guitars will need. *** Highly recommended**
Rob Howe-Gregg put together a custom guitar for me. I had purchased the neck, body, pickups, etc. I couldn\'t have been more pleased with the finished product! A few things to note: Gregg had to purchase some odds and ends for me and he did so making sure I got high quality parts at the best value possible. He also needed to perform some alteration due to the Floyd Rose set-up I had chosen. This was done with flawless execution. His communication throughout the process (whether it be a status update or making sure that every decision was collectively discussed) was second to none. As long as Gregg is around, I have no worries for any my guitar needs in the future. Thanks Gregg!
Jim Green-Thanks, Greg, for restoring my Martin D41 copy back to life with a complete refret and setup. The original frets were never put in right and started lifting out of the wood. Now, with those jumbo frets you installed, I can appreciate the guitar as if it was made brand new.
Cory Stone-Gregg (the Guitar Medic) took in my beat up old Fender Twin Reverb amp and turned it into the monster tone machine that it used to be. It looks great and sounds even better. Was very happy with Gregg's services and reasonable rates. He even kept me informed of all the progress during the repair. Great job!
John Luse-Took my guitar to him when it was giving me some weird buzzes and losing signal randomly the week before I had to use it live. I was in a rush and he delivered. Havn\'t had any problems since. I'll take my stuff to him for sure.
Eric Johnson-Professional and friendly service. Gregg does outstanding work. I needed a bridge repair and an autograph removed from one of my Gibsons. He did a full set up as well and the guitar came out looking and playing like it just left the factory. Gregg will be taking care of all my guitars.
Ryan Armstrong-Gregg is the best out there! The headstock on my Les Paul broke completely off and he managed to glue it back on and finish it to the point where you can't even tell it was ever broken. I was simply shocked when I saw the work he did! He also did an awesome setup job and now plays better than ever! I will not be going anywhere else for guitar work. Thanks Gregg!
David Potter-The Guitar Medic is where I will be taking my guitars that needs repair from now on. Gregg is very professional guitar tech and his labor rates are reasonable. So far, he has work on two of my guitars and did quality work on both of them. I had Gregg work on Parker Guitar which had all kinds of problems. He suggested the Graphtech Ghost System for the Piezo part of the Parker. I went with that and I'm so glad I did because, it sounds a lot better and plays fantastic now. I would highly recommend The Guitar Medic to every guitarist that needs work on their guitars. Thank You Guitar Medic!
Rudy - Gregg is a good cat. Excellent work, fast turn around and honest pricing. He'll be doing all my guitar work from here on. A+
Pat Simmons-Would recommend Gregg to anyone in need of a tech/repairman that is not only knowledgeable, but approaches his work as a craft. Timely turnaround, more than reasonable rates, what’s not love??
Ryan Mills- Had a les paul that had feedback issues, fret buzz and just generally did not play as well as I hoped. Over the last 10 years I have tried several of the "well known" local shops and guitar techs with poor results and high prices. Greg got the job done right the first time. He fixed the action, strobe and swapped the nut in far less time than any other tech I have tried. He is the only tech I will recommend in Spokane. ~Lead guitarist for SALT
Matt Gardner- Greg is awesome!! I had my Strat setup at a well know local guitar shop and it came back worse than it went in. I took it to Greg and explained what went down. He said no problem he could get it up and running and he did!!! It plays better than it ever has....nice and buttery!!! Thanks Greg...You are the Man!! You have gained a loyal customer for all my future setup and repairs!!!
Randy Budano- I took my LTD 256 in to Greg because it was buzzing and just didn't play as good as it used to. When I went to pick it up he had a sheet made of all the work he did and talked to me about them in detail. He set my bridge, filed the nut, leveled some frets, adjusted the pickups and neck. Now the thing is lively! It plays way nice and I am re-inspired by it! Greg is the Man! I won't trust my guitars to anyone else but Greg.
Isaac Kuula- Gregg straight up rocked my socks off! I brought him my Taylor 414 (purchased used)with a fretboard crack and fret issues, just an annoying buzz. Exceeding my expectations Gregg did a great job of getting my frets leveled, and lowered the action, making the guitar sweet and wonderfully playable. He also fixed the crack and tuned up my acoustic, making it better playing and sounding than I have ever experienced so far! Greg was incredibly timely, communicated professionally and kindly, and was a pleasure to do business with. He is extremely knowledgable and quite willing to give great advice. and As long as I'm in Spokane I'll never go anywhere else!
BadAx1- K. So this is the deal. I just moved here from Portland OR and scored an Ibanez XPT from G.C. and went down to Hoffmans and had a Dimebucker pickup put in and told them to get rid of the fret buzz if any when putting on my kind of strings . Got the axe back and totally sounded worse, buzz the whole nine. So took it to Mark's Guitar and told them about my expierience with Hoffman's and they assured me they would get it right. WRONG!!! Got it home a little better but far from acceptable. So out drinking one night I run across a little guitar studio and drop in the next day and the dude hooks me up with Gregg. I talked to him about my awfull time with the big stores and anyways gave him the XPT, he fixed it in a couple days at the most, I picked up the guitar and needless to say i have found the guy when it comes to fixing a guitar in Spokane WA. He did such a great job I brought the rest of my guitars to him for tune ups and all now play flawless. I cannot thank him enough. A great playing guitar makes one want to play a whole lot more. DONT MESS WITH THE REST GO TO THE BEST !!!
Jerad Finck- Spokane Based Singer/SongwriterFor anyone who needs custom guitar work, The Guitar Medic does absolutely fantastic work. He just installed the Piezo on my 335, and it's brilliant sounding!
Songhurst Guitars- This man would not leave you in the field, he'd come get you, bullets flying and all! This is how he treats guitars. It has been a relief having a good tech to rely on for Songhurst OEM/set up work. Gregg does not throw in the towel at set up work, he's handled every curve ball we have thrown at him and corrected the issue himself...without crying! Thanks Gregg.
Roy Jackson- As the owner of Learn to Burn School of Music and a professional guitar player I have had guitar work done by a number of the local shops but Gregg at The Guitar Medic is my only guitar tech now. Gregg is honest and his work is better than the other guys plus his prices are lower. What more can you ask for? I have appreciated Gregg’s work so much, he is now the official guitar tech of Learn to Burn School of Music and the only person I recommend that my students and friends go to, and that’s the highest recommendation I can give anyone. Roy Jackson Learn to Burn
Lee Owen- Gregg did an awesome job of setting up and repairing my 2000 Les Paul Studio. My LP buzzed from the day I purchased it from a friend. I took the guitar to Gregg and he found that the neck was twisted. Gregg repaired and re-fretted the neck. (and took care of some minor cosmetic blemishes to boot )Gregg cares about his work and his musician customers. Top notch work at reasonable prices! Repaired on time and in budget. Thanks Gregg
Dan Pelican- I took my guitar to Franks (who did an awesome job) but he ruined the saddle in my charvel. With parts hard to find, and the locking nut stripping I switched it to a floyd rose. Roy Jackson referred me to Greg. Greg called me back immediately. He set up the Floyd and replaced the plastic nut replaced it with a graphite nut. All in all Greg was fast, and good. I will take all my stuff to Guitar medic in the future.
George Jarrett- Great guitar mechanic, has done the setup on my Dean and my grandsons Les Paul, neither of us could believe the how much better they played. Another bonus was my fingering hand, didn't seem to become fatigued after a long session . I won't take my guitars anywhere else now.
Shane Collins- Great great guitar tech! Fixed a battery issue with my Fender Jaguar bass and set it up so it plays like butter! He also fixed my Hot Rod Deluxe with some weird problems it was having, great service and super super knowledgeable, not to mention very quick. I will be going to the Guitar Medic for all my repairs and mods now! Also for musicians in Church Worship Music Groups Gregg offers free Labor for those who can't afford it. This is a great thing for a Church intern such as myself! Thank you Gregg!
Dennis Cherni- Amazing work for in amazing price! Gregg knows what he's doing. Set up a bass and guitar in no time for me. His quality is top notch and I'll be taking all my future guitars and bass's to Gregg!
Jake Barr- As a professional bass player and instructor, I need a tech who is knowledgable, fast, thorough, detail-oriented, and affordable. Gregg did a great job setting up my 6-String Bass, and provided all of the above... and more! I couldn't ask for better customer service from a guitar tech. He truly puts his heart into his work. Thanks Gregg!!!
Jim- I just had some work done on my new (to me) electric guitar. It was done quickly and reasonably priced. When I need repair help for my guitars, I know where to go now. Thanks, great work.
Charlie Boddy- Gregg does awesome work on fretted instruments of all type. He has done major work on two of my guitars lately (bass & strat) and did a superb job in a very timely manner. When I left Alaska and my luthier there I felt some fear and trepidation in finding someone here in Spokane to do my work. The Guitar Medic is a wonderful shop and I\'m glad I found them. Thanks Gregg.
Bill Long- "Fantastic"! Gregg moded out a bass for me with up-graded pups and while he was at it sheilded the pick gaurd and re-wired and changed out the pots for me. His work is not only awesome, my bass sounds like one of the more expensive basses around! and it was affordable. Gregg also researched which would be the best pups for the guitar and he was dead on! Highly recommend him!
Paul Brown- Gregg is a fantastic repairmen! Very skilled and very friendly! He's serviced a few guitars belonging to musicians on staff at my church and everyone including myself have been satisfied greatly! My guitar needed a new 3-way toggle switch for the pickups and some wiring repair involving the volume pot. He was very fast and even selflessly adjusted my action to be where it should be out of the goodness of his heart. My guitar was returned to me better than ever and I will always choose Gregg over anyone else for my fixits! Thank you Gregg!
Dave Ellis - I was looking for a refret job on an old guitar I didn't want to dump a lot of money into, after dealing with some local techs that were just plain jerks. Gregg agreed to do the job, I sent him the neck and he mailed it back in a week, playing better than it probably did when it left the factory 40+ years ago. That's saying something, too, because this old Mosrite had DEFINITELY seen some use, and not the "nice" kind either. I can't say enough good things about Gregg the Guitar Medic. And my old Mosrite Celebrity is happier than she's been in a long, long time. Really nice guy, too. Anyway, thanks so much, Gregg
Nathan Dowd- I've been playing the guitar for about a year and recently I decided to buy my first guitar (my first guitar was loaned to me by a family member). I was pleased to purchase an Epiphone Masterbilt DR500MCE, but when I received it there was a good amount of fret buzz especially around the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fret. I live in Ephrata (a good two hours from Spokane) but I decided to give Greg a call and see what he could do for me. And to be honest, he exceeded every expectation I had. He accommodated my limited time in Spokane and in three hours fixed the majority of the problems. On top of that, because he felt the job wasn't finished to his satisfaction when I needed to leave, he only charged me for new strings, I was blown away! My guitar sounds so much better now and I plan on bringing it back so that he can finish the work the next time I'm in the city. I wholeheartedly recommend him for any repair work your guitar may need.
Dan VanVoorhi- I bought a bass on craigslist and was told it had an amp gremlin of some kind. I gave Gregg a call on a Sat and he was willing to meet me that day. He was nice and didn't make me feel like a idiot for not knowing what was wrong. After he looked at it for a bit he told me the part I needed to replace and gave me several options. I managed to find what I needed in town (Greg had offered to order it for me if I wanted to go that route). I took it back to him the same afternoon and he fixed it. In the end it all worked, Gregg gave me some advice and pointed out a few things I should look at doing. I will defiantly bring my bass back to him when I have problems.
Don- I brought in a factory 2nd Epiphone AJ500M that I bought online with neck and fret issues. Gregg did a nice job of getting the frets level, lowering the action and making the guitar playable and this guitar was in pretty bad shape. The service fast and I got the results I needed. My musical experience: I used to play bass in a booked rock/ funk band back in the 70s. I played violin in school orchestra. I now mostly play fingerstyle and claw hammer style acoustic guitar and also mandolin. My other guitars are: Martin D16, Seagull Mini Jumbo, Fender 200SX acoustic. \'73 Garcia classical, \'76 Fender Jazz Bass, \'98 Mexi Jazz Bass, \'08 Mexi Standard Telecaster, 1960 Harmony Rocket
Taylor Song- Brought in my Epiphone LP Standard to have a "Deluxe" tune-up done. Gregg is a friendly and professional guitar expert. He knows exactly what he's doing and can explain it to anyone from the guitar genius to the guy who just picked up the instrument for the first time. He made suggestions as to what upgrades/modifications can be done to take the instrument to the next level. Will be having all repairs done from Guitar Medic from now on.
Gerald- Gregg did an incredible job with my guitar, I own a Takamine EC132SC, although not the most expensive instrument in the world it is a delicate all solid wood guitar which is hand made. He treated my guitar with the care and respect it and I deserved. My guitar left beautifully stringed, oiled fret board and with a clean bill of health. He checked the bridge and all of the body over for damage AND got me a same day return on the item with some extreme consideration for my schedule. Gregg is polite, friendly, and most of all trustworthy. Me and my guitar wont be going to anyone else.
Conner G - The Guitar Medic will be the only place I visit for my guitar tune ups and repairs. Greg fixed my guitar extremely quick. My guitar was fixed in under 30 minutes and plays great now.
Justin -I took my Schecter electric, and Washburn acoustic guitar in to The Guitar Medic for complete setups on both (after some personal tinkering gone awry), and also had some minor playability tweaks done to the acoustic's saddle. To sum it up: Gregg is awesome. He's a super friendly and professional guy, got the work done much faster than expected, charged a fair price, and most importantly did an excellent job. Gregg even talked to me a bit about what I can do to maintain my guitars better, and pointed out some web sites that could set me on the right path. It's very obvious that Gregg takes pride in and loves his work, and truly cares about his customers and their needs. If my guitars ever need more work, I wouldn't look anywhere else than The Guitar Medic. Thanks, Gregg! PS ~ Don't be alarmed when you pull up to The Guitar Medic expecting a commercial building and find a residential house, Gregg runs his business out of his house, which gives him great flexibility!
